Pricing

Simple pricing, free to start

Pilot EFB launches free on iPhone and iPad. Most of the app stays free for good, and Pro lifts the usage caps once it has become part of your routine.

No account to begin, no ads, and your own data is never locked behind a plan. You can view, edit, and export your logbook and briefings as CSV at any time, on every tier; PDF reports come with Pro.

What is free, and where Pro begins

Common questions

Is the free tier time-limited?
No. It is usage-based, not a 30-day clock. Decoded weather, NOTAMs, every calculator, and the airport reference stay free and unlimited. Pro comes in once you pass the free caps: 300 logged hours in the logbook, 20 logged duties for FTL, and 3 saved flight folders. The logbook and duty allowances need a free account, which also backs your records up.
What does Pro cost?
Pro is $39.99 per year or $4.99 per month on iOS, an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Both lift every usage cap; the yearly plan is free to try for 7 days at launch. You can cancel any time from your App Store subscription settings.
Can I still use my data if I do not upgrade?
Always. Your own data is never locked behind a plan. Viewing, editing, and exporting your logbook and saved briefings as CSV is free on every tier, so trying Pilot EFB never means handing your records over. The styled PDF logbook export and career reports are part of Pro.
Is there a version for the web?
A signed-in web edition is planned for app.pilotefb.com, the desk-based edition for professional pilots, billed at $99.99 per year through Stripe. It is subscription only, with no free tier in the browser, and a separate subscription from the App Store one. It is not available yet; we will announce it here when it arrives.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Pro is an App Store subscription, so you manage and cancel it from your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone or iPad, the same place you manage every other App Store subscription. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
Is Pilot EFB a certified EFB?
No. Pilot EFB is a personal, informational and organisational companion, not a certified Electronic Flight Bag. It is not approved or authorised by any regulator, and it is not for dispatch, primary navigation, or regulatory compliance. Every output is for personal reference and planning, and you always verify against official sources. See the disclaimers for the full detail.
