Prices are in US dollars. The App Store shows the final price for your country, in your currency, before you subscribe. Pilot EFB Desk is charged in US dollars: checkout shows the final amount before you subscribe, and it includes any VAT or sales tax due where you live. New Desk subscriptions are sold by Sold through Link, LLC (Stripe's merchant of record), and your card issuer may apply its own exchange rate. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled any time, from your App Store subscription settings for Pro and from Settings, Subscription for Desk. The two subscriptions are separate: one does not unlock the other. Pilot EFB is an informational and organisational tool, not a certified EFB.

What is free, and where Pro begins

The free tier on iOS is usage-based, not a 30-day clock. The tools you reach for on every flight stay free and unlimited. The caps are only on the parts that grow the more you use the app.

Your own data is never part of the cap. Viewing, editing, and exporting your logbook and saved briefings as CSV is free on every tier. "Unlimited" means normal personal use by one pilot; automated or commercial use is not permitted (see the terms).

Common questions

Is the free tier time-limited?
No. It is usage-based, not a 30-day clock. Decoded weather, the complete raw text of every NOTAM, every calculator, and the airport reference stay free and unlimited. Pro comes in once you pass the free caps: 300 logged hours in the logbook, 20 logged duties for FTL, and 3 saved flight folders. The logbook and duty allowances need a free account, which also backs your records up. Logbook history you import does not count toward the 300 hours.
What does Pro cost?
Pro is US$39.99 per year or US$4.99 per month on iOS (on the UK App Store, £39.99 per year or £4.99 per month, including VAT), an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Both lift the logbook, duty, and folder caps and raise photo and attachment storage to 2 GB. You can cancel any time from your App Store subscription settings.
Can I still use my data if I do not upgrade?
Always. Your own data is never locked behind a plan. Viewing, editing, and exporting your logbook and saved briefings as CSV is free on every tier, so trying Pilot EFB never means handing your records over. The styled PDF logbook export and career reports are free on a free account up to 300 logged hours, then part of Pro.
Is there a version for the web?
Yes: Pilot EFB Desk, the web edition at app.pilotefb.com, built for the desk at home or in the crew room. It is $199.99 per year or $19.99 per month through Stripe; yearly saves 17% against twelve months at the monthly rate. New subscribers get a 2-day free trial (a card is taken up front, nothing is charged if you cancel before it ends, one trial per person and per payment card), and there is no free tier in the browser. It is a separate purchase from the App Store one. Same account, same data: sign in on both and your records sync. See everything Desk adds.
Does Pro on iOS include the web edition?
No. Pilot EFB Pro (iOS) and Pilot EFB Desk (web) are two separate subscriptions. Subscribing on iPhone or iPad does not unlock Desk, and a Desk subscription does not affect your App Store billing. They share your account and your synced data, not the bill. The Desk price is personal pricing for one pilot; crew rooms, operators and training organisations can ask us for a demo and corporate pricing is discussed separately.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Pro is an App Store subscription, so you manage and cancel it from your Apple ID subscription settings on your iPhone or iPad, the same place you manage every other App Store subscription. Pilot EFB Desk is managed from Settings, Subscription inside Desk, which opens the Stripe billing portal. In both cases cancelling stops the renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel either subscription, so cancel first. If the Desk price changes, the new price applies only from your next renewal after at least 30 days' notice by email.
Is Pilot EFB a certified EFB?
No. Pilot EFB is a personal, informational and organisational companion, not a certified Electronic Flight Bag. It is not approved or authorised by any regulator, and it is not for dispatch, primary navigation, or regulatory compliance.
