How to browse and vote on the feature-request board, post an idea, follow its status, and report or block - on Pilot EFB Desk.

On this page

Community is the sidebar's foot row and opens the Feature requests board: ideas from other pilots, votes, and a status for each from Open to Done or Declined. It is the one part of Pilot EFB Desk that is not private to you. The module's framing, verbatim: "Community-submitted ideas - not endorsements, commitments, or official roadmap. Posts are written by other users."

Find your way around

RegionWhat it shows
HeaderFeature requests, "Vote for what you want built next, or suggest your own idea.", and the Suggest a feature button
ToolbarThe sort segments Top, New and Trending, the Search ideas field, and the category menu (All categories, Feature, Integration, Bug, Other)
Status tabsAll, Open, Under review, Planned, In progress, Done, Declined, each with a count once the whole board has loaded
Ideas listOne row per idea: the vote tile, title, category chip, age and the status chip at the row's end
Side paneThis board with Ideas, Votes and Done figures, and How it works: "Anyone can browse. Sign in to vote or post. One vote per person, per idea." and "Statuses move as ideas are reviewed. Nothing here is a commitment to ship."

How to browse the board

  1. Click Community in the sidebar, or press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and type Community.
  2. Pick a sort: Top for the most votes, New for the newest, Trending for the most-voted recent posts.
  3. Click a status tab to see only, say, Planned ideas.
  4. Open the category menu to narrow to one category.
  5. Type in Search ideas. The search matches the title and details of the ideas the board has already loaded; when nothing matches it says 'No loaded ideas match "your term"' with a Clear search button.

How to vote on an idea

  1. Click the vote tile at the start of the row. The count goes up by one.
  2. Click it again to take the vote back.

Votes are what move an idea up Top. One vote per person, per idea.

How to open an idea

  1. Click the row. The Idea page opens with the post in a reading column: the vote tile, title, status and category chips, and the details.
  2. Read Where it is in the side pane: the board pipeline with the idea's current step marked.
  3. Click the back control in the bar to return to the board.

There is no comment thread on the board: an idea carries its title, details, votes and status, and nothing else.

How to suggest a feature

  1. Click Suggest a feature. The page is "One idea per post. Other pilots will vote on it."
  2. On your first post, read the Community guidelines panel and click I agree - continue. You are not asked again.
  3. In Your idea, enter a Title ("A short summary of your idea").
  4. Add Details (optional) - "What problem does this solve? How would it work?" - and pick a category.
  5. Click Post idea. Your idea lands on the board as Open.

The Before you post pane beside the form gives three tips: search the board first and vote if it already exists, describe the problem and not just the solution, and keep it to one idea because two ideas in one post split the votes.

How to report a post or block an author

  1. Open the idea.
  2. In the Something wrong? panel, click Report this post and pick a reason under "Why are you reporting it?": Spam, Abuse or harassment, Off-topic, or Other with a short reason.
  3. Or click Block this author. The confirmation reads "You will no longer see posts from this person on the board."

The pane says it plainly: "Reported posts are reviewed within 24 hours. Blocking hides all of this person's posts from you."

On iPhone and iPad

There is no Community tab on the phone; the board opens from the in-app tutorial, and posting or voting needs a free account there. Community on iPhone has those steps.

Troubleshooting

The status tabs show no counts. Counts appear only once every status is in the loaded set. Scroll the list to the end, or reload the board.

My search found nothing. The search only covers ideas the board has already loaded. Clear it and scroll further, or try the sort and status filters instead.

My post was refused. Check it against the community guidelines; a daily limit also applies. The banner names which one you hit.

I cannot report or block. Both need a connection: the page says "Please try again when you're online."
